Two-thirds of Russians regularly working overtime without extra charge. About it writes “Kommersant” with reference to a study by the Higher school of Economics (HSE).
So, Russia took the fourth place in the group of European countries with the highest prevalence of nonstandard employment schedules. It turned out that 64 percent of Russian employees work in the evening, at night and on weekends. Compensation for overtime achieves only a third of employees.
However, the share of workers overtime Russians could be much higher because the study was conducted at the main place of work, while a large part of people working unofficially or on freelance.
The commitment of non-standard work schedule overtook Russia Croatia, Greece and Poland. It is noted that these countries have traditionally been the countries with the lowest wages.
Serviceability all adhere to the standard work schedule, the people of Israel and the Netherlands — there is after hours work 44 and 49 percent respectively. The official working week in the Netherlands is only 27 hours.
Previously founder and CEO of Chinese Internet holding Alibaba Group Jack MA spoke about the benefits of overtime. He defended the schedule, “996”, which involves working 12 hours a day six days a week.
