The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky entered into a dispute with the mayor of Boryspil Anatoly Fedorchuk due to sewage in local lakes. Their dialogue publishes the edition “Ukrainian truth”.
The conflict began with the story Zelensky on requests and questions from people — one of inhabitants of Borispol wrote to the President that, despite the fact that the budget was allocated 1,7 million hryvnias on cleaning of lakes, some of them are still “at the bottom of almost a metre of faeces”.
Fedorchuk did not comment on the situation, instead, rushed to declare that he was “not stealing”, and spending of the city hall you can ask to check in law enforcement bodies. Then Zelensky directly asked whether to clean the lake. Mayor of Boryspil in response complained about the townspeople:” the fact is that, unfortunately, the culture of our people is low. We cleaned the lake, and private individuals…”
“They have spoiled the meter? Are you kidding me?” interrupted the mayor Zelensky. According to him, he first hears that the people to blame for the inaction of the authorities.
Earlier at the same meeting Zelensky kicked out of the room of the Secretary of the city Council Yaroslav Godunok. The reason of the conflict was the conviction of the official: Zelensky refused to listen in the past convicted “thief.”
At that meeting, Zelensky also presented the new head of Kiev region Mikhail BNO-Hayriyan. Media noted that the new Governor was a classmate of the head of the party “Servant of the people” Dmitry Razumkov. They studied together at Kyiv national University.
