Russian boxer Denis Lebedev in Instagram has announced his retirement from the sport. He was a world champion by the world Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) in the weight category up to 90.71 kg.
Lebedev explained that he intends to focus on family and to give as much attention to the families. “Life does not stand still, and together with you we will do big and small good things for his country, for our young people. It’s also my family,” wrote the athlete.
The last time he went to the ring in November 2018, having won a victory over American Mike Wilson. Just on account of the Russian boxer 32 wins in 35 fights, 23 of them by knockout.
In the course of his career, Lebedev has repeatedly spoken about what it plans to do upon graduation. In particular, he talked about wanting to become a member or “the mayor of any city.”
