Iran denied trying to detain a British tanker

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Iran Javad Zarif denies attempt to detain a British ship in the Persian Gulf. It is reported by Fars news Agency.

A similar statement was made in the Islamic revolutionary guards Corps (IRGC), the Agency Fars. “The patrols of the Navy of the revolutionary guards continue their duties in the normal way and with accuracy to perform their functions. In the past 24 hours they have not interacted with any foreign ships, including the British”, — noted there.

Earlier it was reported that five armed boats of the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps (IRGC) began to pursue oil tanker in the UK and tried to stop him. Iranian ships approached the ship and ordered the crew to change course and stay in the territorial waters of Iran.
