The TV channel “Russia 1” will hold the Russian-Ukrainian teleconference, “we Need to talk” on 12 July, but the Ukrainian guests will participate via Skype, reports “Interfax”.
In a press-service VGTRK noted that the transmission is “non-political”. Presenters will remain the same — Andrey Malakhov and Maria Sittel. Guests of the teleconference will be Russian and Ukrainian scientists, film and sports, as well as ordinary people.
“Among them are Russian-Ukrainian families, including those who for the past seven years maintained a relationship, and those that will resume them in the air”, — added the press service. In the program it is planned the participation of politicians or officials.
Earlier plans to hold the Ukrainian-Russian teleconference only on Russian television said Rada Deputy Taras Kozak, who owns the TV channel NewsOne.
Initially the TV channels “Russia 1” and the Ukrainian NewsOne was going to hold a joint two-hour teleconference, “we Need to talk”. Announced the project presenter Dmitry Kiselyov in the program “Vesti Nedeli” Sunday, July 7.
NewsOne later canceled the teleconference because of direct threats of physical violence to the channel. The idea of transfer, was criticized by many politicians in Kiev, including President Vladimir Zelensky. According to him, this dangerous pre-election PR move, aimed at division of the country into two camps.
