The subsistence minimum in Russia has proposed to increase

The Ministry of labour has proposed to raise minimum wage by four percent. Relevant document published on the portal of projects of normative legal acts, reports RIA Novosti.

It is reported that the increase in payments will depend on socio-demographic status. The need for this in the Ministry of labor justified the increase in food prices.

“The draft law stipulates to establish the subsistence minimum for the II quarter of 2019 per capita 11 185 rubles, for able-bodied population — 12 130 rubles, pensioners — 9236 rubles, children — 11 004 rubles”, — the document says.

On 1 July, the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev revealed conditions for improvement of life of Russians. He stressed that to enhance the standard of living of Russians it is necessary to create new quality jobs, more opportunities for education and start their own business. All these measures, he said, should lead to the fact that by 2024, the number of Russians with incomes below the subsistence minimum should be reduced twice.
