In Volgograd on the basis of regional clinical hospital №1 has opened Russia’s first center for the provision outpatient cancer care, according to the website of the regional administration.
The centre will work on the principle of “lean clinic”, given in the message words of the Governor of the region Andrey Bocharov. Thanks to this “survey will be qualitatively — not just for Oncology but also for health in General,” said the Governor.
In the hospital under the centre has allocated a floor area of 464 square meters with convenient navigation and information machines and comfortable environment in the waiting area. There patients can do an ultrasound, x-ray, mammography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography and magnetic resonance therapy. Reception is conducted in two shifts. There are three Cabinet Oncology and neuro-Oncology, as well as the psychologist’s office.
It is noted that since the center surveyed 250 people, five of them found a malignant tumor at a very early stage.
By the beginning of 2022, the region will begin work already 14 such centers
In Russia to 2024 will be implemented the national project “Health”, which in total is planned to spend more than 1.7 trillion rubles, 969 billion of them — to fight cancer. It is planned that during this time the mortality from neoplasms will decline from 200,6 to 185 cases per hundred thousand population per year. This will create more than 400 centers outpatient cancer care and re-equipped over 160 dispensaries and hospitals.
