The first conversation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky was trial and were rather pragmatic. This was stated press Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, reports on Friday, July 12, TASS reported.
“As for the atmosphere of the conversation, it was the first conversation between the two presidents — this is for guidance only. You know that the first time they talked on the phone, informed of any contact between them was not. The conversation was quite pragmatic,” — said Peskov. According to him, the presidents took about 20 minutes.
In the Kremlin consider very important the actual first conversation between Putin and Zelensky, said Peskov.
July 11, Putin and Zelensky held the first telephone talks since joining last as President of Ukraine. After conversation in the Kremlin reported that the presidents discussed the settlement of the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine and return of individuals held by both sides, as well as the continuation of contacts in the “Normandy format”.
