The government approved holidays calendar for the year 2020. On Saturday, July 13, reported on the website of the Cabinet in “Vkontakte”. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
According to available online data, the Russians will rest for eight days over New year — from 1 to 8 January, three days before the Day of defender of the Fatherland — from 22 to 24 February and three days from 7 to 9 March in connection with International women’s day.
In addition, people in the country waiting for long “may holidays” from 1 to 5 may and from 9 to 11 may, and three days from 12 to 14 June on the Day of Russia and day off in Day of national unity on 4 November.
The weekend from 4 and 5 January, which fall on a Saturday or Sunday will be rescheduled for may 4 and 5, respectively.
Earlier in may it was reported that the next and last in this year a long weekend in Russia will drop in November. The Russians will have a rest from 2 to 4 November on the occasion of national unity Day.
