Bahraini investment company plans to invest about 500 million euros in the infrastructure of Crimea. This was stated by the representative of the company in Central and Eastern Europe Stefan Davina, reports “Izvestia”.
In particular, we are talking about the construction of Railways and roads. “We are ready to cooperate in other areas,” added Davina.
It is noted that the Memorandum of cooperation with the Russian side has been signed. The implementation of specific projects could begin before the end of the year. However, the details of the transaction and its participants were not disclosed because of the sanctions against Russia.
Crimea became part of Russia according to the results of a referendum held in March 2014. Ukraine, USA, EU members and other countries do not recognize its results and consider the presence of the Peninsula as part of Russia’s occupation. Moscow insists that the process of the annexation of Crimea meets standards of international law.
