Transfer Turkey the main elements of the first set of Russian anti-aircraft missile complexes (AAMS) s-400 will be completed within weeks. This is reported by “Izvestia”, citing sources familiar with the situation.

“That hasn’t been the case when transport aircraft were used to supply such a large amount of equipment, at least there’s no information in open sources”, — said the chief editor of the magazine “arms Export” Andrey Frolov.

According to him, to ensure rapid deliveries of s-400, Russia has actually built an air bridge that plays a big role in the face of strong pressure from the United States. According to Turkish media, Ankara after consultation with Moscow chose the location for the first battery air defense system on the border with the Syrian province of raqqa.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the deal with Russia to supply s-400 is the most important agreement for Ankara. In addition, Ankara has assured NATO that the Alliance will become stronger and will be the beneficiary of this transaction.

The delivery of s-400 to Turkey started on Friday, July 12. The US and other NATO countries fear that if Ankara will appear and s-400, and the American fifth generation fighter F-35, the Russian radar systems will learn to calculate and track these aircraft.

A contract to supply Ankara with the four battalions of s-400 was achieved in September 2017. The contract is worth $ 2.5 billion, half of this amount will cover the Russian loan. Also buyers of the s-400 “Triumph” are China and India.
