Sections of the road M-7 in need of renovation. This was stated by the head of the Ministry Maxim Oreshkin, who traveled to the forum of single-industry towns in Togliatti from Moscow driving a crossover LADA XRAY, reports TASS.

“The machines we do have already learned, left to finish the road because there is not very good, honestly,” said the Minister. According to him, in one place during the trip he nearly struck the wheel.

Oreshkin noted that in General the Russian roads are in good condition: reconstruction of Federal highways, regional roads “for the most part already in decent condition.”

According to the official, his Department will prepare a report for a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on the issue of reconstruction of M-7, RIA Novosti reported. Oreshkin said that it is planned to discuss the reconstruction of the existing roads and construction of new trails.

As part of a visit to the forum in Togliatti Oreshkin drove on the route Moscow — Vladimir — Nizhny Novgorod — Cheboksary — Kazan — Samara — Togliatti. Minister before the trip, noted that the main purpose of his trip — preparing items for final decision on the question whether to build a new toll road from Moscow to Kazan, or completely renovate M-7.

About who owns the authorship of the phrase “In Russia two misfortunes — fools and roads”, arguing for a long time. Most often it is attributed to Gogol, sometimes talking about Pushkin, Saltykov-Sedrine and Karamzin. However, to detect phrase from the authors of the XIX century failed. Probably first attributed to Gogol the satirist Mikhail Zadornov in his monologue “Country heroes”, which was written during perestroika, says cultural anthropologist and researcher of aphorisms Konstantin Dushenko.
