The government and Parliament do not intend to limit the ability of Russians on the Internet. This was stated by the speaker of the upper house of Parliament Valentina Matviyenko in the national youth educational forum “Territory”, reports TASS.
“I am against prohibitions against restrictions. Only it is necessary without fanaticism, it is necessary for each question to look specifically and specifically to assess the steps, actions, and laws which we accept,” — said Matvienko, the question of one of the participants on the possibility to combine restrictions on the Internet with self-realization.
Earlier it was reported that the Kremlin and Russian government not supporters of the introduction of restrictions for the operation of the Internet. On 11 March, said the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. According to him, and in the presidential administration and the government are all in favour of Internet freedom. He noted that no one supports “the idea of some cuts of the Internet or restricting the work of the global network”.
