The Deputy of the Kyrgyz Parliament Dastan Bekeshev proposed to establish the site of the former American military air base Manas play area and to allow foreigners to use there drugs. About the MP wrote on his page in Facebook.

According to Bukasheva, the territory of the military base, which is already five years “collecting dust” and not used in any way, you need to operate with maximum benefit to the economy. For this you need to hire a management company which will create all necessary conditions for gambling and recreation among tourists. “The infrastructure is almost there, is there and the runway,” — said the Deputy.

Foreigners can freely enter the playing area, the Kyrgyz visa is not required for this. In the zone, on the idea of the Deputy, will also be allowed to buy and use soft drugs.

As an example, Bekeshev mentioned Malaysia, where the government legalized gambling. “Only the pros: taxes, tourism development, new jobs, the airport will get a boost, local companies can sell their products for the life of the territory. This area and can be described as: free game zone” he said.

For Kyrgyz citizens entering the territory of the gaming zone needs to be closed, said the Deputy.

The U.S. airbase was posted in Kyrgyzstan in 2001. It was used to support coalition forces in Afghanistan. The base was located on the territory of the Manas international airport near Bishkek. In 2012, as payment for her placement Kyrgyz side received $ 60 million. The base was withdrawn from the country in 2014, after the Parliament refused to prolong the agreement on stay of the Americans.

In 2011, the Kyrgyz Parliament outlawed casinos and slot machine halls. However, the then government acknowledged that banning gambling will not eliminate them, but only driven underground. Only in Kyrgyzstan, according to official data, there were 21 casinos and about three thousand of slot machine halls.
