The Museum-reserve Tsarskoye Selo near St. Petersburg is particularly popular with Chinese tourists. About it reports the edition “”.

The Chinese are willing to defend many hours to get to the Catherine Palace. The reason for such a rush — the Amber room: in China it is believed that amber has healing properties. The queue for tourist groups, leading to the entrance of the Catherine Palace, takes four hours. All the time tourists spend on the feet or use the services of Amateur traders, supplying them with food and drink and offering to sit with a charge on folding chairs.

To limit the tourist influx, the administration of the Museum-reserve entered the sale of electronic tickets for individual visitors only for passport data and no more than once per month. However, the guides of Chinese tour groups bypass the difficulty: buy individual tickets and lead tourists through a private entrance. According to the administration of the Museum-reserve “Tsarskoe Selo”, legal levers of influence on the situation yet.

Earlier in July it was reported that Chinese tourists have again started to collect polished pieces of glass on the unique beach of Vladivostok, than has caused indignation of local residents. Vladivostoktsy claim that travelers from China brought to the beach by bus with the sole purpose so they can collect the broken glass. Some Chinese take out with a full glass packages, while on the beach there’s a sign prohibiting it to do.
