The Ministry of economic development suggested to 2022 to create in Chechnya a special economic zone of industrial-production type. This follows from the draft decree, posted on the Federal portal of normative legal acts.
The area is proposed to be located on the territory of Grozny. For this purpose in 2020 from the Federal budget they want to allocate 1,5 billion rubles in 2021-m — 2.5 billion.
Until 2022 it is planned to construct objects of transport, social, engineering, innovation and other infrastructure. For these purposes from the regional budget they want to allocate 39,3 million roubles.
The government of Chechnya at the beginning of 2019 announced plans to open in the Zavodskoy district of Grozny the special economic zone of industrial-production type. Later it became known that the head of the Ministry Maxim Oreshkin supported the idea.
Meanwhile in Chechnya is already a special economic zone of tourist-recreational type “Veduchi”, created in 2013. The cost of opening was 53.3 billion. However, in 2016 the effectiveness of its work was the lowest among the Russian special economic zones, from the data of Ministry of economic development.
