The command of the U.S. army is planning to increase the number of soldiers of private military companies (PMCs) in Syria simultaneously with the withdrawal from their regular units. This was told at a briefing the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, RIA Novosti reported.
“The command of the U.S. armed forces in connection with the planned reduction of its troops on the territory of Syria is interesting, namely, increases the number of active in the Northern and North-Eastern regions, employees of PMCs”, — quotes Agency her words.
Zakharov said that currently in Syria there are more than 4 thousand employees of American PMCs, but only for the second half of July, arrived in the country 540 people, including commanders and instructors. She pointed to main tasks of these companies — they prepare militias, loyal to Washington, and also protect oil and gas infrastructure and other important facilities.
