The number of victims due to poisoning in a children’s camp in Crimea increased from 34 to 54 people. This was reported on the website of the Investigative Committee.
According to authorities, among the 54 affected 49 children and 5 counselors. Their condition is estimated as moderate severity, and no life-threatening.
The investigative Committee in Crimea opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 238 of the criminal code (“Rendering services not meeting requirements of safety of life or health of consumers”) and as regards 1 article 236 of the criminal code (“Infringement sanitary-epidemiological rules”).
Earlier in the sanatorium “Radiant” near Evpatoria hospitalized 34 of the 700 inmates of the camp, three were in intensive care. Asked for help about 40 children with diarrhea and vomiting. The exact cause of poisoning is still unknown.
