The President of France Emmanuel macron during a telephone conversation with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin said that he will arrive in Moscow to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war. This was reported on the Kremlin website on Thursday, July 18.
The report notes that the Makron gratefully accepted the invitation to participate in the celebrations on 9 may 2020.
The parties also discussed the situation around the Iranian nuclear program, the Syrian settlement, the situation in the Donbass, outlined a schedule of upcoming contacts. In addition, the presidents expressed their readiness to intensify joint work in the framework of the “Normandy format”.
In late June, U.S. President Donald trump has stated that it will consider seriously the invitation of the Russian leader for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory.
This year, the presidential administration sent out invitations to leaders of foreign States to the Victory parade in Moscow. In the Kremlin explained that it is practiced at the anniversary event.
