A Ukrainian court has refused to release Wyszynski

Podolsky district court of Kyiv extended the arrest of the head of the RIA Novosti Ukraine Kirill Vyshinsky until September 19, according to RIA Novosti.

The case is adjourned until September 16.

On the extension of the arrest insisted the state. Protection of the journalist asked to release chief editor of the portal under his personal obligation. Vyshinsky himself stated that in the event of a change of a measure of restraint is going to continue professional activities.

In addition, at the meeting, the journalist reiterated that protests against any exchange and does not intend to plead guilty. “I want justice. I heard that I want to exchange, but I don’t thing I have to change”, — the TASS of his word.

Earlier, the Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said that the first step of Kiev toward Moscow should be the release of Wyszynski. In response, the press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Yulia Mendel said that Ukraine is ready for it just in case, if Russia would simultaneously free the convicted for terrorism, the Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov.

Chief editor of RIA Novosti Ukraine Kirill Vyshinsky was arrested in Ukraine in may 2018. He is accused of support of the unrecognized republics of the Donbass and treason. He faces up to 15 years in prison. The journalist denies all the charges.

In August 2015, the court recognized Oleg Sentsov guilty of forming a terrorist community, organization, bombings and arson in Sevastopol, and also in illegal possession of weapons and explosives, and sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime. The Director doesn’t admit the guilt.
