The middle class in the US has become more pessimistic assess their economic prospects than six months ago. It is reported by CNBC, citing a study of insurance company CUNA Mutual Group.
The majority of survey participants considered their situation is relatively stable: they rated their chances of achieving the American dream as “3” not “4-“. Half of respondents were concerned about a possible recession. According to Allianz Life for the year the number of Americans who fear a serious downturn of the economy, increased by two percent (this year the figure was 48 per cent, in the past — 46%).
Most of all, the possibility of a recession is alarming those who have children. The survey showed that parents are more likely to go to drastic measures to maintain their financial stability respondents admitted that they have reduced retirement savings that they had more cash.
Publication recalled that unemployment in the country has close to the lowest in half a century value and amounted to 3.7 percent. However, despite the growth of economic indicators, experts expect large-scale slowdown.
