In the mountains of Yakutia, near the village of Tomtor Oymyakonsky ulus, the first snow fell. This was reported by the assistant head of the village administration Ekaterina Vinokurova, reports RIA Novosti.
According to her, snow in July — a common phenomenon for the inhabitants of the area known as the pole of Cold. Vinokourov said that before the first snow would fall in June.
“Currently, few tourists. Say, is Japanese, who arrived in ulus savages. Now the village is pouring with rain,” — said Vinokourov.
Earlier in June snow fell on the Yamal Peninsula, Salekhard and Labytnangi nearby.
