Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev believes that Russia should develop the market of rental housing. This opinion he expressed during a meeting with the head of JSC “HOUSE.Russia” Alexander Plutnik, held on Friday, July 19, reports TASS.
The head of government noted that the lease widespread in advanced economies. According to him, in such countries to 50 per cent of the houses allocated to citizens for the improvement of living conditions, are objects provided by the rights of employment.
Plutnik, in turn, informed the Prime Minister that about seven percent of housing in Russia for rent, but the question here is not about “civilized”, and private practice. The majority of the Russian tenants and landlords have no special protection “in force of individual regulations,” said Plutnik. He also said that “HOUSE.Of the Russian Federation” develops the program of rental housing. “We are the purchasers, acquired either as a whole house or porch and provide citizens in rent — said the head of “the HOUSE.Of the Russian Federation”. — The demand is big enough”.
Earlier in July, was named among the tenants of the Russians: nationwide, about 10 million people rent property, and 49 percent of them intend to stay in rented apartments or rooms, at least in the next two years.
