In Russia plan to open a free network of centres of assistance for parents. Specialists of the center will train parents in the proper upbringing of children. About this report “Izvestia” with reference to the Ministry of education.
As explained to the edition in a press-service of the Ministry, by the end of this year, 95 such centers will appear in 54 regions of Russia. They will be aimed at “improving psychological and pedagogical competence” parents. In the Ministry of education expects to assist 20 million Russians.
The centers will operate five main target groups, said the acting Director of the Institute of correctional pedagogy of the Russian Academy of education Tatiana Solovieva. The first group — for parents of babies up to three years who need counselling for early development. According to the Director of strategy and methodology of the Federal Institute of education development (FIRO) Tatyana Klyachko, this group is the most important and innovative direction.
Also groups will be established for parents “preschoolers who do not attend kindergarten, students in home schooling with special needs and disabilities, students with behavioral problems and those who are planning to adopt a child,” added Soloviev.
In addition, in the framework of the Federal project “Support of the families having children” it is planned to create information and educational portal for parents.
Earlier it was reported that underage Russians are more likely to refer to the office of the Ombudsman for children under the President of Russia. According to the children’s Ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova, last year the number of such requests increased by 14.5 percent. “This is an alarming signal,” said Kuznetsova.
