October 1, 2018, 46-year-old Durrell Barry (by Barry) tried to claim the prize amount of 20 thousand dollars (1.3 million rubles) for a fake ticket instant lottery. Two months later this was reported to the police. On 12 July this year Barry came to confess.

He was charged with fraud and violation of the law on lotteries of Illinois. Both acts are considered serious criminal offences. Barry was taken into custody before the court with the right to bail in 25 thousand dollars.

In 2018, it was reported that in the UK former Mason Edward Putman (Putman Edward) was accused of forging a winning lottery ticket. Nine years earlier he received £ 2.5 million (over 200 million).
