The Ministry has proposed to cease to consider beer alcoholic beverages to take him out from under the restrictions that currently apply to just alcohol. On Saturday, July 20, reports owned by Grigory Berezkin RBC with reference to the draft strategy of trade development for the years 2019-2025, the authenticity of which was confirmed by the press service of the Ministry.
The document says the proposal “to consider the removal of beer and beer products from the point of view of regulation of retail sales under the concept of alcoholic beverages, including in the sphere of public catering”. Currently, the Ministry, according to the interlocutor of the edition, is preparing to send the draft strategy in coordination with all concerned departments.
Beer and other drinks with an alcohol content exceeding 0.5 per cent (with the exception of kefir and kvass) equalized with other alcoholic drinks in 2012. From 2013 it can not sell in the stalls, from 2017 began operating ban on the sale of beer in plastic bottles larger than 1.5 liters.
Wednesday, July 17, it became known that in Russia is declining vodka consumption and grow beer sales. Retail sales of vodka dropped by 0.3 percent, to 34.3 million decaliters, and retail sales of alcoholic beverages for the first half of 2019 have increased by almost a quarter and amounted to 2.7 million decaliters.
