The leader of the party “Movement new forces,” Mikheil Saakashvili has released a video message in Facebook, in which he said that his party refuses to participate in elections to the Verkhovna Rada.
Saakashvili said that his party is unlikely to overcome the five per cent threshold of votes necessary for entering the Parliament. However, he wants the party of the incumbent President Vladimir Zelensky “servant of the people” received the majority in Parliament and not dependent on other political forces.
“We intersect with the electorate “public Servants”. We do not criticize the presidential party. I think we should give them a chance,” said the politician. He urged everyone who supports “the Movement of new forces,” to vote for the party Zelensky.
The party “movement of new forces” (“new forces”), headed by Saakashvili, created in Ukraine in February 2017. She was opposing the then head of state Poroshenko. According to a recent poll by the Kiev international Institute of sociology, party “movement new forces” Ukrainians are not ready to support (0 percent).
Early elections to the Verkhovna Rada will be held on July 21.
