Former chief sanitary doctor of Russia, state Duma Deputy Gennady Onishchenko, called scoundrels of the authors of the idea to soften restrictions on the sale of beer and expressed the desire to sue them in court for “hate” towards the General population. His words are quoted by the radio station “Moscow Says”.
“Bastards these people are, and when I find out the names, I promise to submit them to the court for the hatred of the Russian people,” — said Onishchenko. He called the proposal to cease to consider beer an alcoholic beverage “cynical,” “provocative” and “unprincipled”.
“The President says that the main goal is improving the health of the people. The proposal of the Ministry of industry and trade cynical and goes against this” — said the former chief sanitary doctor.
Earlier on Saturday, July 20, it became known about the offer of Ministry of industry and trade to stop and consider beer alcoholic beverages to take him out from under the restrictions that currently apply to just alcohol. The proposal is supposedly contained in the draft development strategy for trading in the years 2019-2025.
Beer and other drinks with an alcohol content exceeding 0.5 per cent (with the exception of kefir and kvass) equalized with other alcoholic drinks in 2012. From 2013 it can not sell in the stalls, from 2017 began operating ban on the sale of beer in plastic bottles larger than 1.5 liters.
