Russian boxer Maxim Dadashev had an operation to remove the swelling of the brain after losing to the Puerto Rican Zabiela Mathias. It is reported by ESPN journalist Steve Kim on his Twitter account.

“Dadasheva held a two-hour surgery due to a subdural hematoma. To eliminate the swelling had to remove part of the skull. Boxer recovering. Long-term forecasts can not say anything”, — the journalist wrote.

Earlier Dadashov was hospitalized in critical condition after the defeat Mathias. The fight was stopped in the 11th round at the initiative of the second Russian.
