In the case of murder of the journalist Pavel Sheremet, who died in 2016, there is a hot version. This was announced by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko in his Facebook account.
According to him, he heard a quarterly report of the chief of national police and the chief of Criminal investigation for the murder of a journalist. “Interviewed hundreds of people, proven tens of thousands. Attracted foreign experts. There are hot versions. Did everything possible”, — wrote Lutsenko.
In may 2017, it became known that Pavel Sheremet were being followed by the employees of the security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Reporters learned previously unpublished recordings of surveillance cameras near the house Sheremeta, made on the eve of his death.
Car Sheremet exploded on the morning of 20 July 2016 in the center of Kiev. According to security officials, an improvised explosive device with a capacity of 500 grammes in a trotyl equivalent, has been installed underneath the car.
