Russia plans to involve scientists from China in the implementation of projects of a class “magicians” in the framework of the national project “Science.” This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, her words leads TASS.
“The interest for bilateral cooperation present the new projects for the creation and utilization of class “magicians”, including synchrotron radiation,” — said Golikova.
According to her, the Federal scientific-technical program in this direction will be adopted in the near future. The Deputy Chairman also noted that Moscow hopes for cooperation with Beijing in other areas of development of the national infrastructure of scientific research and development. In particular, the speaker reminded that in Russia it is planned to create six research centers of the world level, including three centers of genomic research, four mathematical centre and nine centres in the main areas of the Strategy for scientific and technological development.
Prior to this, TASS reported that the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) signed a road map in which identified six areas of cooperation. So, it is expected that Russian and Chinese scientists will conduct joint work in research of deep-sea resources of the ocean and Tibet, the study of natural disasters, creating and using heavy-duty lasers, and artificial intelligence systems, as well as the development of space surveillance.
National project “Science” was approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin and should be completed by 2024. Only its implementation is planned to more than 625 billion rubles. In particular, it involves the creation in Russia of 15 scientific and educational centers of the world level, commissioning research facilities class “magicians” and the formation of an integrated system of training scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel.
