Over the last few years the number of Russian adults with disabilities have decreased, while among children this rate has increased. About it reports “Kommersant” with reference to data of the Ministry of labour, based on statistics Bureau mediko-social examination.
According to the Ministry, annually registered in the country of 15-25 thousand cases of childhood disability. So, in 2016, children with disabilities in Russia was 617 thousand in 2018-m — 651 thousand, and by 1 January 2019 already 670 thousand. Many of the diagnoses associated with congenital anomalies, mental and nervous disorders.
While 2016 has been steadily declining, the number of adult people with disabilities. It not only reduced the number of issued certificates of disability, but the number applied for it to the Bureau of medical-social expertise.
Decrease in indicators is observed in all age groups among the adult population, including pre-retirement and retirement. The total number of disabled persons over the age of 18 has decreased from 12.1 million in 2016 to 11.3 million by the beginning of 2019. 62.1 per cent of the disabilities were of people older than 60 years, 17.3% for ages 51 to 60 years, 9.2% — 41-50 years 7% 31-40 years old, 4.4 percent were between 18 and 30.
The highest proportion of disabled people in Chechnya. There are 100 residents have 17 people with disabilities. In the Belgorod region of 16 out of 100 people in Ingushetia is 15.5. The average for Russia — one person out of 100.
Most Russians with disabilities are diseases of the circulatory system, Oncology, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, mental disorders and behavioural disorders.
