President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko counts on the assistance of the European Union in stabilizing the situation in Ukraine. It is reported BelTA.
“We have a common problem, it is possible to tell, the trouble — Ukraine”, — he said. The Belarusian leader believes that the responsibility for the problems Ukraine is the EU, as it gave “a lot of encouraging signs for this brotherly country and the brotherly people”.
“The fact that this is our problem: we, the Ukrainians, and you live in the same region. This abscess, the headache for the European Union as soon as possible to resolve,” he stressed. Lukashenko urged the EU to provide ” all possible assistance to stabilize the situation in Ukraine.”
Earlier, the Belarusian leader said that the neighboring countries had a lot of problems that need to be solved with the help of international organizations. Among them he called the Ukrainian, Transnistrian and Karabakh crisis.
Their decision Lukashenko urged the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE). He noted that often criticized the organization for weak response to regional geopolitical issues and still believes that they are in the immediate area of competence of the OSCE.
