The head of political Council of party “Oppositional platform For life” Viktor Medvedchuk explained why uses in conversations Russian language, not Ukrainian. His position he outlined in Facebook.
“I can freely speak the Ukrainian language. But in protest specifically speak Russian to support people, especially residents of the South-East,” he said.

Earlier in July, the Chairman of the party of supporters of President Vladimir Zelensky “servant of the people” Dmitry Razumkov announced that it would publicly speak Russian, yet Kiev will not regain control over the Crimea and Donbas.

Himself Zelensky has told that does not see much of a problem in the status of the Russian language in the Donbas. “We will stop the war, and we need to give people in Donetsk to speak the language in which they want. What is the problem here? We generally do not have this problem,” he said.
