The head of the presidential party “servant of the people” Dmitry Razumkov assured that Ukraine is not threatened with the usurpation of power by his political force. About it reports TASS.
“Ukrainians should not be afraid of the usurpation of power. I believe that through our legislative initiatives to talk about any usurpation of power is not necessary. Today we can talk about consolidation of power, but this is done in order to start implementing the reforms that we promised,” — said Razumkov.
Among the mentioned legislative initiatives, he listed the removal of parliamentary immunity, the law on impeachment of the President, reform of the courts and revision of anti-corruption system.
Earlier on July 22 Razumkov announced that his party is not considering the possibility of a coalition. He noted that they are willing to dialogue with those forces that will coincide with the “Servant of the people” in the ideological beliefs and the underlying vision of development of Ukraine. However, he added that, judging by the results, “to talk about the coalition, apparently, is not necessary”.
Early elections to the Verkhovna Rada were held in Ukraine on July 21. The total turnout amounted to 49,87% of the voters. After processing 60 percent of the ballots of the presidential party “servant of the people” can form a single-party majority, having received 249 out of 450 mandates. This situation is the second time in the history of independent Ukraine.
