In the settlement of Vershino-Darasunskiy in Zabaykalsky Krai patients at the local hospital were forced to wash and reuse old bandages because of the lack of medicines in the institution. About it reports “Chita.ru”.
According to the publication, on July 21, the villagers complained about the situation temporarily fulfilling duties of the Governor of Transbaikalian edge Alexander Osipov. According to one of the local residents, the Ministry of health “will send a request to the hospital about the provision of drugs and forcing them to answer, that’s all there”, but actually free medicines are not issued even to children.
In response to complaints Osipov was asked to help with funding: “the Situation is bad. In order to provide, no money. Our region is characterized by the fact that the budget is less, but hurt the residents more often. When the requirement of 800 million rubles allocated 200”.
In the regional Ministry of health has promised to conduct a probe into the complaints of the patients, but noted that, according to the Ministry, the hospital is stocked with medicines for eight months, reports “Interfax”. In particular, the bandages there now supposedly 184 pieces.
In late June, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree expanding the list of medical devices that public health facilities should not be bought from foreign producers. The list of products added 14 items: “medical gauze bleached cotton”, “bandages sterile and non-sterile gauze”, medical masks, wound dressings, sterile packs, pads, anti-decubitus mattresses, absorbent underwear (diapers). At the same diaper size XS made an exception.
