Russian plane distant radar detection A-50 violated Japanese airspace over an island called Takeshima. This was announced in the Japanese Ministry of defense.
The Ministry said that interception A-50 in the sky over the Islands was raised by a Japanese fighter. A Russian aircraft allegedly violated the country’s airspace twice: between 9:09 and 9:12 a.m. local time (3:09 and 3:12 GMT, respectively), and between 9:33 and 9:37 a.m. (3:33 and 3:37 GMT, respectively). At the same time in the sky were two Russian bombers Tu-95 and two Chinese bomber H-6, but they airspace is not violated.
Japan protested through diplomatic channels to both Russia and South Korea. The latter in turn protested to Russia about flying bombers near the island of Dokdo.
Earlier on July 23 in the chiefs of staff of South Korea said that one of the Russian aircraft violated the border of the country, both times while in its airspace for three minutes. Korean fighters have released a total of 20 flares and fired about 360 rounds per attacker.
The defense Ministry indicated that strategic bombers-rocket carriers Tu-95MS had a scheduled flight and did not violate the border of the country. The South Korean F-16 just shot off flares and flew away, “there is no warning, there was no fire”.
A group of Islands of Dokdo (Japanese name Takeshima) located between Japan and South Korea in the sea of Japan. After the Second world war, these Islands became part of Korea. Japan considers the archipelago “illegally occupied” and considers it as its territory, a member of the Shimane Prefecture.
