Party “servant of the people”, founded by President Vladimir Zelensky received the largest percentage of support in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada in the history of independent Ukraine, after counting more than 93 percent of the ballots she is gaining 43.14% of the votes. The previous record belonged to the Party of regions of former President Viktor Yanukovych. In the elections in 2007, the political power gained 34.37% of the votes.
“Servant of the people” has broken another record, having the largest number of MPs in Parliament — 156. Before that the best result also belonged to the Party of regions, which in 2013 won in 113 constituencies.
According to the Central election Commission of Ukraine, the currently processed 93,85% of the ballots. Leadership — the “Servant of the people” (43.14% of the votes). In the Parliament of the ninth convocation of the party will be able to form a single-party majority, having received 253 out of 450 parliamentary seats.
In second place is “the Opposition platform For life” (13.06 percent). Also in the top five included “Batkivshchyna” (8.18 percent), “European solidarity” (8.12 percent), and “the Voice” (5.84 percent).
Extraordinary elections to the Parliament of Ukraine took place on July 21. The total turnout amounted to 49.84 per cent. The vote was held under a mixed system — 251 candidate will enter Parliament on party lists and 199 MPs will be elected in single-mandate constituencies. In the vote was attended by 24 parties and 3220 of candidates in single-mandate constituencies. Final voting results will be posted before 5 August.
