Some regions of Russia can remain without payment terminals. This is due to the new requirements for cash register equipment (CCP), suggested the head of the legal Department of the Association of Russian banks (ADB) Sergey Klimenko. His words leads RIA Novosti.

In mid-July, a law was passed that banned banking payment agents to use the remote CCV payment terminals. Now the equipment must be installed directly inside the terminal or outside by connecting the wire.

According to Klimenko, the new rule will affect the terminals in the remote and sparsely populated areas of the country. “The reason for this is the failure of conversion of existing terminals connected to the online booths, new TCC” he said. Klymenko added that put CCP in the terminal case is impossible. If you put the equipment close to, there is a risk that it “will carry third persons.”

Owned by Grigory Berezkin RBC with reference to the representatives of the ADB said that it will affect QIWI payment terminals and regional terminals network TelePay (Ekaterinburg), “Kasservis” (Krasnoyarsk) and the payment system “Orange” (Omsk).

A source on the payment market said that unscrupulous players use a remote connection to CCV payment terminals for illegal sale of cash. Changes in the law, he said, aimed at ending this activity.
