The state Duma adopted a bill that extends the circle of recipients of monthly payments on the first and second child. This was reported on the website of the lower house of Parliament on Wednesday, July 24.
To expand the list of recipients managed through changes to the need criterion. Today, the right to receive monthly payments have families in which the size of per capita income does not exceed 1.5 times the subsistence minimum. In accordance with the amendments on financial assistance to eligible families whose income is below double the size of this figure.
In addition, these payments can be expected until the child reaches the age of three, not to one and a half years now.
“The fact that at the legislative level now, depending on per capita income will be determined by the measure of social support for up to three years, is in every way we welcome,” said Deputy Yaroslav Nilov.
On 25 June the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that the benefit for children from six weeks to three years old living in low-income families will be increased from the current 50 roubles to 10 thousand. Then he announced the draft law on increase of need criteria families.
