In the Russian region will be engaged in the digital transformation of agriculture

Authorities in Rostov region intend to create in the region the scientific-educational center (REC), which will develop ideas on the digital transformation of agriculture. This was reported on the official portal of the regional government.

The center will bring together universities, research institutions and business and will bring to the world level high-tech enterprises, research and development in the field AgroSciTech (intelligent agricultural machinery). As expected, the local authorities, the work of the REC will contribute significantly to economic growth as the Rostov region and southern Federal district.

“Rostov region is among the Metropolitan areas that are leaders by the number and density of population, capacity of universities in our territory, traffic flows and international relations. The region has already relied on the creation of a South-nots, and we are ready to encourage companies Contracting research in our universities and scientific-educational center”, — said the head of the regional Ministry of economic development Maxim Papushenko.

It is noted that the project of creation of the RECs have already been approved by the Federal government.

RECs are created in Russia within the Federal program “Development of scientific and scientific-production cooperation” of the national project “Science.” According to her, by 2024, the country must receive a minimum of 15 scientific and educational centers of the world level, 14 competence centres of STI, scientific and research centers. For the program it is planned to allocate 215 billion rubles.
