The European space Agency showed looks like a record hot weather in Europe from space. The published on the website of the international organization.

The image is based on data from the radiometer Sentinel-3 received on Thursday, July 25. It shows the temperature of the Earth. Judging by the frame, the most intense heat is observed in Italy, Spain and France.

25 July, Europe was threatened by a new wave of warm air that raised the temperature to record levels. Thus, according to the German weather service, in this country, the thermometers showed a plus of 40.5 degrees Celsius. The national record heat recorded in the Netherlands (41.7 degrees), Belgium (40.2 degrees) and France (40.6 degrees).

As reported by Bloomberg, unusually hot weather led to the closure of nuclear power stations and inflated prices for electricity in France. In Germany, the drought triggered wildfires and falling level of the river. It threatened certain sectors of agriculture.

On 28 June the UN warned that 2019 will be one of the hottest, and the period from 2015 to 2019 will beat the record for the highest average air temperatures in the history of observation. The reason for this weather were two areas of high pressure over Greenland and North-Central Europe. They block the cyclone, which could cool the air. The result is a plume of hot air trailing from the deserts.
