The US said the lack of Russian influence on the election results

Russia interfered in American elections since at least 2014 to 2017, but was unable to affect the outcome. To such conclusion the U.S. Senate Committee on intelligence, the report was published on the Agency’s website.

The document says that the Russian authorities “conducted a large-scale activities have influence on the electoral infrastructure of the United States” both at the state and local level. Despite this, the Senate found no evidence that Russia’s actions affected the election results. In particular, the Committee found no spoofing or hacking of the voting machines.

In the Senate suggested that Russia intended to study vulnerabilities in the voting system, to use them later. The Committee also admitted that the Russian side wanted to undermine the credibility of American elections.
