Zelensky has appointed a woman to the leadership of the foreign intelligence Service

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky was appointed to the post of Deputy head of the foreign intelligence Service of the country Catherine Slyadneva. This is stated in the published on the website of the President decree.

The document was signed on Wednesday, July 24. Until 2018 Ledneva worked at the Kyiv Prosecutor’s office, occupying the post of Deputy chief of Department of supervision in criminal proceedings. The education she received at the Lviv University of business and law, specialty of the judicial system, prosecutors and lawyers.

Earlier Zelensky newly appointed Ruslan Demchenko, Advisor to the head of state. He had already performed these duties in the administration of Petro Poroshenko from 2014 to 2019. Zelensky after coming to power removed him from office.

On 24 July, the Office of the President of Ukraine told about the discussions of candidates for the post of Prime Minister. Advisor to the President Oleg Ustenko noted that “the pool of experts or potential candidates” for the position bigger than what is known in the Ukrainian media space. Ustenko chose not to say whether he to the post.
