Trudy moved to Arkansas from the zoo of the city of Buffalo, new York, 31 years ago. In 2017, it was reported that the oldest gorilla-slave named Colo died at the age of 60 years in the zoo of the American city of Columbus, Ohio. In 2016, the animal had a tumor removed. The zoo believed that the gorilla is recovering, so her death came as a surprise.
