By September, 2019 on the Kamchatka Peninsula will be two new stationary complexes of automatic fixing of violations of the speed limit. This was reported on the official website of the government of Kamchatskiy Krai.
One of the new complexes will be installed in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and the second — in the town of Yelizovo, which is located 32 kilometres West of the capital region. As noted, the installation location will be determined in coordination with the office of the traffic police, taking into account the concentration of traffic accidents.
Currently in the Kamchatka region already working 50 complexes photo and video fixation. Thanks to them for the first half of this year in the region was recorded 81124 violations of the rules of road safety.
The modernisation of regional road network — one of the key goals of the national project “Safe and high quality roads”. In its framework, should increase the share of roads of regional significance to 50.9 percent, will be eliminated half of the places of concentration of accidents, doubled the proportion of length of roads of urban agglomerations in good condition, 10 percent reduced the proportion of overloaded Federal and regional highways.
