Shares of “Gazprom” has increased in price by 7.3 percent in the course of trading on July 26, according to data from the Moscow exchange. The price increase happened on the background of the sale of securities of group subsidiaries.
At the peak’s ordinary shares of Gazprom traded at 234,99 ruble apiece. At the time of publication, their value was equal to 231,98 of the ruble.
Earlier it was reported that two subsidiaries of “Gazprom” — Cyprus Rosingaz Limited and Gazprom Gerosgaz Holdings Netherlands BV — totally sold on the Moscow exchange, 2.93 percent of the shares of the holding company 200,5 ruble apiece.
Usually a message about an upcoming lead to lower prices due to increased supply. However, in this case a pre-announced sale price was below market value at the time that provoked an increased demand from investors. Against this background, on 25 July, the capitalization (total market value of the shares) of “Gazprom” made up 5.33 trillion rubles, which allowed him to become the leader among all Russian companies, bypassing the savings Bank.

Currently 46,02% of shares of “Gazprom” are in free float on the stock exchange.
