In Cherkessk Karachay-Cherkessia in the framework of the national project “Education” has opened a new center for psychological and pedagogical assistance for parents that will hold 41 thousand consultations annually. This was announced by the Director of the local center of education №11 and teacher Advisory centre Helen Lasova.
“This is a new phenomenon for us, because in Karachay-Cherkessia of such centers was not. Our goal is the improvement of pedagogical competence of parents,” said Lasova. She also noted that every resident in the region, the family will be able to get five free consultations in the center.
Lasova added that the Advisory office employs more than twenty professionals: psychologists, social workers, a lawyer, expert in guardianship, speech therapists, speech pathologists, Methodist. At the center are also possible visits of experts to the home for parents from remote areas and families where there are children with disabilities.
“We have no focus separately on some direction — psychological or pedagogical. We decided that we need to provide different services, so parents had a choice,” said Lasova.
Until 2024 in Russia it is planned to implement the national project “Education”, under which will be established to support families with children. A Federal project aims to engage in the educational process of parents and the creation of conditions to enhance their competence in matters of education and upbringing. To do this, in all regions of Russia will establish assistance centers, where the results of the implementation of the Federal project at least 20 million Russians will be able to receive psychological-pedagogical, methodical and consultative help. The Federal budget of the project amounted to 8.6 billion rubles, the total budget of the project — almost 784,5 billion.
