The Moscow Prosecutor’s office warned about the responsibility for participating in an inconsistent rally in support of opposition candidates in the Moscow city Duma elections, scheduled to take place on July 27. This is stated on the Agency’s website.
“The event with the Executive authorities of Moscow in the established order is not consistent. Inconsistent organization of public events and participation in it punishable by the legislation of the Russian Federation responsibility,” — said the Prosecutor’s office.
The report also says that the organizers of the event have warned of the liability in connection with the action July 14. Now against Anastasia Bryukhanova, Julia Galiamina, Kirill Goncharov, Dmitry Gudkov, Ivan Zhdanov, Maxim Kruglov, Dmitry Klochkov, Sergei Mitrokhin, Yelena Rusakova, Lyubov Sobol, Alexander Soloviev, Sergei Cokasova, Roman Onemana, Constantine Jankauskas and Ilya Yashin conducted an administrative investigation. In addition, they re-issued a warning about the inadmissibility of violation of the law and the responsibility in case of violation
Previously, the Moscow police urged Russians not to take part in the action July 27, for their own safety. In a statement on the website of the Moscow interior Ministry reminded that scheduled event on Tverskaya street is illegal.
During a rally in support of independent candidates in the Moscow city Duma deputies on 20 July, Alexei Navalny stated: “Either until next Saturday to register all, or next Saturday, all going from the mayor of Moscow”. Later in the Moscow election Committee called the demand blackmail, and noted that the opposition candidates should prepare for elections.
According to official data of the police, the rally on Sakharov Avenue was attended by 12 thousand people.
The official event was organized by the libertarian party of Russia. The protesters gathered to support Lyubov Sobol, Ilya Yashin, Ivan Zhdanov and other candidates who refused to register.
Opposition candidates from July 14 to hold in Moscow in Trubnaya square protests demanding to allow them to participate in the elections. The Moscow city Duma elections will be held in a single voting day, September 8.
