The investigative Committee of Russia began check of activity of aviation “Mail of Russia” in connection with the lease of two aircraft for two billion rubles. It is reported by Telegram-channel Baza.
The audit began on July 18. Investigators are examining the contracts concluded by the enterprise with the company “Aviastar-TU”, which was delivered two TU-204 aircraft for the postal cost of more than a billion rubles for each. After two weeks of “Mail of Russia” rented “Aviastar” their own aircraft.
It is also noted that for its intended purpose, i.e. delivery of mail, the aircraft is used only 15 percent. Otherwise, mail planes fulfill third-party orders and contracts.
The damage is estimated at least 81 million rubles.
The channel does not exclude the possibility that the test may end with criminal charges against the former or current leadership of “Mail of Russia”.
On 24 July it was reported that the TFR again validates the former Director General of the enterprise Dmitry Strashnov, who wrote to his deputies bonuses nearly 270 million rubles. Investigators believe that his actions might be a Scam and abuse of authority.
On a post of the General Director of “Mail of Russia” Strashnov has twice issued orders on awarding of his deputies — to 89,5 million rubles in 2014 and of 179.5 million by the end of 2015. Also the head of the company wrote itself a bonus in the amount of 95 million rubles.
In 2017, the Prosecutor’s office sent to the Investigative Committee materials about excitation against Strashnov criminal case under article 201 of the criminal code (“Abuse of official position”). The Prosecutor’s office froze the accounts of the former head of the company at 95 million rubles. Later accounts Strashnov thawed, and the only person involved in the case became an official in the Ministry of communications Irina Lapteva, who signed the documents on payment of premiums.
